RuminOmics Regional workshop – Lodi
Date: 14:00 5th October – 16:00 6th October 2015
Venue: Parco Tecnologico Padano (PTP – Science Park) – Lodi, Italy (map: https://goo.gl/lI6Knt)

The aim of the workshop is to present the outputs of the Ruminomics project, in particular those linked to animal breeding, gastrointestinal microbiome and nutrition, to improve the digestive efficiency and lower the environmental impact of ruminant livestock production.
The workshop will focus on efficiency and sustainability of ruminant livestock production in Italy and surrounding countries with:
- Keynote lectures on the genome/nutrition/microbiome linkage and its impact on feed efficiency and product quality.
- Reports on novel techniques for the rapid analysis of animal and microbial phenotypes.
- A round table discussion on research priorities and how the outputs of the project can be implemented in the region.
